About Angelo D’Alberto Acupuncture
Specialising in Fertility, IVF & Women's Health Acupuncture
Choosing someone to support you with your health is a personal decision.
My approach to acupuncture is centred around listening carefully to each patient,
understanding the wider picture of their health, and creating a treatment plan that is genuinely individual to them.
I specialise in fertility, IVF and women’s health, while also treating a broad range of health conditions using acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. I have helped hundreds of couples conceive either naturally or through assisted conception techniques like IVF and IUI.
My aim is to provide a calm, professional environment where you have the time and space to talk openly about your health and receive personalised care.
My Approach to Acupuncture
Treating the individual, not just the symptom
Traditional Chinese Medicine takes a holistic view of health. Rather than focusing exclusively on a single symptom, treatment considers how different aspects of your physical and emotional wellbeing may interact.
During a consultation, I take time to understand your:
●Current symptoms
● Medical and health history
●Menstrual and fertility history
● Your current diet and lifestyle including supplements and medications
●Sleep patterns, energy levels, digestive and urinary health
●Stress and emotional wellbeing
● Treatment goals
This information helps me develop a treatment plan that is appropriate to your individual circumstances.
I believe that good acupuncture begins with good communication. You should understand what your treatment involves, have the opportunity to ask questions, and feel comfortable discussing your concerns.
Fertility & IVF
Supporting you through an important stage of life
Fertility treatment can be an incredibly personal and sometimes challenging experience.
I work with individuals and couples who are trying to conceive naturally, as well as patients undergoing assisted reproductive treatment such as IVF and ICSI.
Acupuncture may be incorporated alongside conventional fertility care, with treatment tailored around your individual circumstances and, where appropriate, the timing of your fertility treatment.
Areas I commonly treat include:
●Natural conception
●IVF and ICSI including around embryo transfer
●Menstrual cycle irregularities, PMS/PMDD
●PCOS
●(PMOS) Endometriosis
●Male fertility
●Fertility-related stress and emotional wellbeing
My role is to provide personalised complementary care while recognising the importance of
working alongside your GP, consultant or fertility specialist where appropriate.
Women's Health
Supporting women through changing stages of life
Women’s health is a particular area of my clinical interest.
I work with women experiencing a range of menstrual, hormonal and reproductive health concerns, as well as symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause.
This includes patients seeking support for:
●Menopausal and perimenopausal symptoms
●Amenorrhoea (no periods)
●Dysmenorrhoea (painful periods)
●PMS and PMDD
●Menstrual irregularities
●Urinary incontinence
●Hot flushes and night sweats
●Stress and sleep difficulties
●General wellbeing during hormonal transitions
Every woman has a different health history and different experience of these symptoms. My approach is therefore centred on understanding the individual rather than applying the same treatment to everyone.
Traditional Chinese Medicine
Acupuncture forms part of the broader system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
TCM considers patterns within the body and the relationship between physical symptoms,
emotional wellbeing, lifestyle and overall health.
I use this traditional framework to inform my assessment and treatment, while taking a
modern and practical approach to patient care.
Where appropriate, acupuncture may be used alongside conventional healthcare rather than
instead of it.
I understand that discussing fertility, reproductive health, periods, menopause or other
personal health concerns can sometimes feel difficult.
I aim to make consultations relaxed, respectful and confidential, giving you the time to
explain what you are experiencing without feeling rushed.
Your questions are always welcome.
Your first consultation is an opportunity for us to understand what has brought you to treatment and what you would like to achieve.
Your health history
Understanding your previous and current health concerns.
Your symptoms
Looking at when they occur, how they affect you and how they have changed over time.
Your lifestyle
Considering factors such as sleep, stress, diet, activity and general wellbeing.
Your goals
Understanding what you would like treatment to help you with.
Following the consultation, we can discuss an appropriate treatment plan.
Why Patients Choose My Approach
No two patients are treated in exactly the same way.
